Dr. Stone: New World

The third television season of this wildly popular franchise shifts the focus from mainland survival to oceanic exploration. Released in Spring 2023 by TMS Entertainment alongside Die Studio and Die4Studio, this 11-episode continuation pushes protagonist Senku Ishigami and his scientifically gifted friends into uncharted waters. With humanity still reeling from a mysterious petrification event that left civilization in ruins, the Kingdom of Science must build a functional ship to uncover the truth behind the green light that started it all. This arc heavily leans into adventure and agriculture, introducing isolated societies and unexpected technological hurdles. The narrative retains its signature educational approach, blending genuine scientific principles with high-stakes action and apocalyptic fiction. A notable highlight is the inclusion of a highly competent butler character and the gradual unraveling of the amnesia subplot tied to the enigmatic Why-Man signal. Scoring a solid 8.3, it delivers a satisfying mix of brain-teasing problem-solving and classic exploration, keeping the pacing brisk across its CGI-enhanced run.
