Ao no Hako

Morning practice, crowded school corridors, and the pressure to improve give Ao no Hako its steady pulse. This 25-episode TV series brings badminton and basketball together in a coming-of-age story shaped by athletic ambition, comedy, and an unusual cohabitation setup. Its appeal comes from the contrast between individual training and the messy rhythms of growing up around other people. Acrobatics add another physical thread, while the chibi tag points to lighter visual beats that can soften the more serious moments. Released in Fall 2024, the series carries an 8.2 score and comes from Telecom Animation Film and WIT Studio, making it a strong pick for viewers who enjoy character-focused sports anime with room for everyday interaction. The manga-based format also gives the show a familiar seasonal-anime feel, with progress measured through both competition and personal change.
