Bakemono no Ko

A single 2015 movie brings together a human child, a beastman mentor, and two connected realms in a story shaped by adoption, adventure, and action. Produced by Studio Chizu, Bakemono no Ko uses an alternative-world setting to contrast human experience with a society of anthropomorphic beasts. Its central relationship gives the film an emotional anchor: learning to live with someone very different can be as demanding as any fight. The setup stays accessible, while the beastman cast adds personality to the setting and keeps the journey from feeling like a standard fantasy quest. At 119 minutes or so, this is a focused viewing experience rather than a long commitment, with a polished reputation reflected in its 8.1 score and awards-related tags. Choose it for a warm, energetic movie that balances coming-of-age feeling with spectacle.
