Kimetsu no Yaiba

Studio ufotable's 2019 adaptation set a massive new standard for modern action anime. Spanning 26 episodes, this award-winning series follows a kindhearted boy whose family is slaughtered by demons, leaving only his sister alive—but cursed to become a monster herself. Driven by desperation, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps to find a cure and avenge his loved ones. The show distinguishes itself through astonishing 3D CG animation blended with traditional 2D techniques, making every breathing style and sword clash feel visceral. Set against an early 20th-century Japanese backdrop, the narrative delivers consistent emotional gut-punches alongside asymmetric warfare against terrifying foes. Earning an 8.5 score, it balances harrowing tragedy with genuine warmth and camaraderie among its core cast. It remains an absolute must-watch for anyone wanting top-tier production values in an action drama.
