Bungou Stray Dogs

The 2016 spring season of Bungo Stray Dogs arrives with a cast built for friction: adult investigators, anti-heroes, assassins, and the sort of adults the tags bluntly describe as useless. Across 12 finished TV episodes, Bones Inc. mixes action with action comedy, balancing danger against a deliberately eccentric ensemble. The adult cast gives the series a different rhythm from a typical school-centered adventure, while angst keeps the fights from becoming weightless. A 3D CG animation tag also points to a production style that may stand out for viewers attentive to visual technique. Rather than promising a single mood, the show moves between violent confrontations, odd-couple banter, and darker character tension. Its 7.8 score suggests a broadly appealing action series with some tonal swings. Start here if you want a compact first season that tests whether its cast and genre blend click with you.
