Flying Witch

A young witch's apprenticeship becomes the starting point for a gentle, offbeat slice-of-life series. Flying Witch pairs everyday agriculture with beer, black humor, and a lightly magical atmosphere, giving its rural routines an unusual flavor without turning the 12-episode story into a constant spectacle. The alternative-present setting leaves room for familiar domestic moments alongside the oddity suggested by its witchcraft premise. Its humor can be dry and occasionally dark, while the focus stays on patient observation, family connections, and the small rhythms of learning a trade. Produced by J.C. Staff in 2016, the TV anime has an unhurried pace that rewards viewers who enjoy atmosphere over sharp plot turns. A 7.6 score reflects its appeal as a calm, character-led watch with enough strange detail to keep ordinary chores from feeling ordinary.
