A chance encounter over a guitar brings two musicians together in this critically acclaimed 2019 music drama. Adapted from a popular manga by Lerche, the series follows a high school student who has lost his passion for music and an older college dropout clutching onto a broken instrument. Their connection sparks the formation of a new band, setting the stage for a deeply emotional coming-of-age story. Scoring an impressive 8.2 across eleven episodes, the show earns its high praise by treating the romantic developments between its male leads with genuine respect and nuance. Beyond the romance, the musical performances carry real weight, driven by solid audio direction and striking CGI animation during the live shows. Balancing lighthearted comedy with heavier emotional baggage, the series offers a satisfying, grounded narrative about finding your voice and learning to love again.
