Migi to Dali

Migi to Dali begins from an unsettling contradiction: adoption and childhood innocence sit beside conspiracy, bullying, and black humour. This 13-episode TV anime from Fall 2023 uses a coming-of-age frame, but its tags signal a much stranger and harsher route than a comfortable family story. Age regression adds another layer of discomfort, while the anti-hero label hints at characters whose choices may resist easy approval. The subject matter includes child abuse, so the series can be emotionally difficult even when comedy enters the mix. Adapted from a manga and made by Comptown Inc., Geek Toys Inc., and Geektoys, it finished with a 7.6 score. Choose it when you want an unusual mystery with a dark comic edge, rather than a straightforward school or family drama.
