Mob Psycho 100

Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama possesses immense psychic abilities that could easily level entire city blocks. To prevent catastrophic collateral damage, he suppresses his emotions, living a quiet life as an assistant to Reigen, a con artist running a fake psychic detective agency. Animated by Studio Bones in the summer of 2016, this twelve-episode action comedy immediately sets itself apart with its unconventional protagonist. Mob just wants to be normal, joining the body improvement club to get stronger physically rather than relying on his powers. As various evil spirits and rival espers threaten his friends and city, he struggles to keep his explosive feelings in check, counting down to 100%. The series balances absurd, laugh-out-loud humor with surprisingly sincere themes of bullying, self-improvement, and growing up. The animation is fluid and highly stylized, turning every psychic clash into a visual spectacle that earned the show significant awards.
