Psycho-Pass RE:Start

The neon-lit, dystopian streets of 2114 Tokyo remain as oppressive as ever. Aired in 2014 as an 11-episode rebroadcast, Psycho-Pass RE:Start condenses and refines the acclaimed cyberpunk crime thriller into a tighter viewing experience. Production I.G delivers a gritty detective story where law enforcement uses a complex algorithm to measure a citizen's criminal intent before a crime even happens. At the center of this dystopia is Akane Tsunemori, a principled officer navigating a corrupt system alongside Enforcers—latent criminals used as hunting dogs by the police. The series poses heavy philosophical questions about justice, free will, and the nature of evil, all while delivering high-octane action and excessive violence. Earning an 8.3 score, this edit streamlines the original narrative into a darker, faster-paced adult drama. It is a must-watch for fans of crime fiction who want to see a brilliant cat-and-mouse game play out in a grim, futuristic city.
