Rising Impact

A chance encounter with a professional golfer changes the life of a physically gifted child in this 2024 sports anime. Produced by Lay-duce, Rising Impact follows Nana Gawasaki, a third-grader who initially excels at baseball. When she discovers her natural talent for hitting golf drives, she sets her sights on mastering the sport. Across twelve episodes, the series adapts its source manga by heavily leaning into classic underdog tropes. Expect intense training arcs, rivalries with other young prodigies, and plenty of enthusiastic determination. The animation frequently adopts a chibi aesthetic for the younger characters, keeping the tone relatively light even during competitive matches. Earning a 7.7 score, it offers an accessible entry point into golf by focusing on character dynamics, youthful ambition, and the technical progression of a prodigy learning the ropes of a highly technical game.
