Sacrificial Princess & the King of Beasts

Romance and political intrigue collide in a fantasy realm ruled by fearsome creatures. Airing in the Spring of 2023, this ten-episode J.C. Staff production adapts a beloved story about Saliphie, a young human girl chosen as the 99th sacrifice to the fearsome King of Beasts. Instead of eating her, the king finds himself intrigued by her fearless demeanor and spares her life. What begins as a tense survival scenario slowly transforms into a unique royal court drama. As Saliphie navigates the dangers of the royal palace, she encounters prejudice, hidden agendas, and complex political maneuvering among the beast aristocracy. The series balances its core romance with heavier themes of discrimination and societal division. Holding a 7.5 rating, it delivers a classic fantasy narrative focused on the slow-building relationship between a gentle human and a monstrous, misunderstood ruler.
