Steel Ball Run: JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken

David Production returns to JoJo with this 2026 ONA, moving the franchise into a new era and onto a new continent. Adapting Hirohiko Araki's celebrated Steel Ball Run arc, the story trades urban brawls for a cross-continental horse race set in late 19th-century America — cowboys, conspiracy, and a trail that stretches from coast to coast. Because the arc takes place in an alternate universe, newcomers can jump in without prior JoJo knowledge. At its core, this is a coming-of-age adventure following two riders whose dynamic evolves from rivalry into something far more layered and emotionally charged. Araki's signature blend of bizarre supernatural abilities and deeply personal storytelling finds a natural home in the frontier setting, where every stage of the race brings new opponents, new alliances, and strange powers that defy easy explanation. Only one episode is out so far, but the 8.8 early score signals that fans already trust what David Production is building.
