Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru. Season 2

ENGI returns to adapt the second television cour of this light-novel detective series, slated for Fall 2026 across twelve episodes. Where the first season planted Siesta and Kimihiko on the trail of an alien-linked criminal conspiracy, the continuation presses forward into the emotional fallout that a one-of-a-kind partnership leaves behind. The tags telegraph the tonal mix: crime fiction and mystery supply the procedural skeleton, comedy keeps the banter alive between leads, and drama ensures the stakes feel personal rather than purely intellectual. An 8.4 score suggests audiences have responded warmly to the franchise's blend of genre homage and character-driven storytelling. Because the source material leans into detective-fiction conventions while folding in speculative alien elements, returning viewers can expect the new episodes to balance self-contained investigative set-pieces with an overarching thread about inherited legacy. The heterosexual tag hints that the central dynamic remains anchored by Siesta and Kimihiko's charged rapport.
