Aikatsu! 3

Produced by Sunrise and BN Pictures, the third year of this idol franchise brings fifty-one episodes of high-energy performances and school-life drama. Released in the Fall 2014 anime season, the series centers on an ensemble cast of aspiring female idols at a prestigious boarding school. The girls train relentlessly in acting, modeling, and singing, relying on augmented reality cards to coordinate their outfits and stage their transformations. Viewers looking for a relaxing yet driven narrative about cute girls pursuing their dreams will find plenty to love here. The CGI performance sequences blend fashion design with classic idol spectacle, giving the characters a distinct visual flair as they climb the ranks. Scoring a solid 7.7, this arc maintains the cheerful tone of previous seasons while pushing its cast into increasingly competitive scenarios. The combination of card-game mechanics and performance art makes the stage battles uniquely engaging for fans of character-driven, fashion-forward competition stories.
