Golden Kamuy: Inazuma Goutou to Mamushi no Ogin/Shimaenaga

A single episode can still deliver a very particular Golden Kamuy mood: rough-edged action, adult rivalries, historical texture, and comedy that refuses to stay in its lane. This 2025 OVA returns to the Meiji-era Hokkaido setting, where military ties and frontier adventure give the story a harsher flavor than a typical treasure hunt. Its focus on an adult cast suits the series' mix of practical danger and dry, occasionally absurd humor. At 7.4, it is best approached as a compact side serving rather than a major new entry point. Brain's Base handles the animation, and the finished OVA format makes the commitment easy: one episode, one concentrated burst of action and drama. Viewers who already enjoy Golden Kamuy's historical atmosphere and manga-based character chemistry will likely get more from it than newcomers seeking a complete introduction.
