Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?

Orario is a city organized around a single feature: a colossal subterranean dungeon filled with monsters, treasure, and opportunity. Adventurers join familial groups blessed by deities, descend floor by floor, and earn their living through combat and exploration. Bell Cranel is the sole member of a tiny, goddess-led familia — young, weak, and far behind his peers. J.C. Staff's 2019 adaptation picks up the core fantasy hook and runs twelve episodes of escalating encounters, skill acquisition, and interpersonal drama. Bell's growth curve is steep, driven partly by a unique ability and partly by sheer desperation. Around him orbits a cast of allies, rivals, and romantic interests whose dynamics shift as his reputation rises. The 7.4 score positions it as a middle-tier isekai-adjacent fantasy — not a genre pillar, but a reliably entertaining watch with solid world-building and enough action variety to keep individual episodes distinct. It is a straightforward dungeon-crawl story with character arcs threaded through each descent.
