Jujutsu Kaisen 2nd Season

The action drama reaches terrifying new heights in this 2023 continuation from MAPPA Co., Ltd. Scoring an 8.7 across 23 episodes, the season initially shifts focus to the past before launching into a chaotic present-day battle royale. We first revisit the youth of fan-favorite Satoru Gojo, exploring the tragic events that fractured his closest friendship. Then, the narrative shifts gears to the infamous Shibuya Incident. On Halloween night, villains trap civilians in a busy district and seal away the strongest sorcerer, forcing the remaining students into a desperate, sprawling underground fight for survival. The show embraces heavy angst and visceral body horror, making the danger feel genuinely menacing. Combat is brutal, loyalties are tested under extreme pressure, and the stakes turn lethal. Building directly on its predecessor, this season delivers a harrowing viewing experience that permanently alters the surviving cast.
