Kuragehime

A boarding house filled with adult residents gives Kuragehime its most distinctive rhythm: shared apartment life, strong personal quirks, and the awkward warmth of people who have made a home together. The series follows that ensemble through comedy and angst, with a bishounen presence adding friction to a group that seems more comfortable behind familiar routines. Its 11-episode TV format keeps the story compact, while Brain's Base gives the 2010 adaptation a character-focused feel suited to small domestic moments. Based on a manga and later adapted into a Japanese movie, J-drama, and other media, the series has a clear appeal beyond its premise. Viewers looking for romance should expect the humor and boarding-house dynamics to matter just as much. With an 8.1 score, Kuragehime is a warm, unusual choice for anime fans who enjoy adult casts and emotionally messy comedy.
