Prince Bojji’s life is defined by his inability to speak, hear, or properly wield a sword. Based on a manga and animated by Wit Studio, this Fall 2021 adventure scores a massive 8.5 by contrasting its storybook art style with surprisingly mature themes of angst and betrayal. The narrative frequently structures itself using an achronological order, slowly unraveling the dark secrets of the kingdom's aristocracy. As Bojji navigates a harsh world filled with assassins, body and host possession, and brutal consequences like amputation, the anime establishes itself as a hard-hitting action drama. Across 23 episodes, the underlying focus remains on the protagonist's sheer determination to become a worthy king despite his physical limitations. The emotionally charged storyline and stellar animation craft a viewing experience that constantly tugs at the heartstrings. Audiences looking for a deeply moving adventure about overcoming severe adversity will find this series unforgettable.
