Vanitas no Karte Part 2

Bones Inc. returns to 19th-century Paris for the second cour of this steampunk vampire adventure, pushing its alternate-history setting into darker territory. Continuing directly from the first season's events, these twelve episodes maintain the series' signature blend of slapstick comedy and brooding action. The story follows a human doctor wielding a cursed book and his vampire companion as they cure cursed vampires while dodging assassins and hidden plots. The narrative excels at balancing its gothic atmosphere with bursts of outright absurdity. Character dynamics remain the focal point, shifting rapidly from tragic flashbacks to witty banter and beautifully choreographed fight scenes. Earning an 8.2 score, this 2022 continuation relies heavily on the foundation built by earlier episodes, rewarding viewers who appreciate complex anti-heroes and fast-paced action. The bishounen aesthetic and intricate worldbuilding create a visually rich experience that anchors the story's shifting tones, making it a standout adaptation for fans of dark fantasy.
