No Doubt In Us: Part II

Ancient China's imperial court gets a domestic shake-up in this full-CGI romantic comedy from Paper Plane Animation Studio. Picking up the body-swapping premise established in its first installment, Part II continues the story of an emperor and empress who have traded places and must navigate palace politics while stuck in each other's bodies. The 12-episode ONA leans hard into comedy and gender-bender scenarios, mining genuine laughs from the contrast between royal decorum and the private chaos of two people learning to understand one another through impossible circumstances. Astronomy threads through the narrative as a recurring motif, connecting the leads' emotional growth to something larger than court intrigue. Chibi-styled character expressions add a layer of cartoonish warmth that softens the rigid CGI presentation. Adapted from a webtoon and carrying an 8.2 score, the series rewards viewers who invested in Part I with deeper character development and sharper comedic timing. Chinese animation continues to carve out its own identity here.
