Yuukoku no Moriarty

Production I.G.'s 2020 adaptation presents an 11-episode TV story built around a 19th-century alternative past, adult characters, and an anti-hero at its center. Yuukoku no Moriarty draws its tension from the friction between social classes, then adds action and adventure to its period setting. Tags for adoption and the Americas suggest a broader backdrop than a single drawing-room mystery, while the manga source gives the series a clear serialized shape. Its 8.2 score reflects a strong pull for viewers who like morally difficult leads and historical fiction with sharper edges. The show is best approached as a stylish, serious-minded take on the Moriarty name rather than a straightforward comfort watch. With only 11 episodes, it offers a focused introduction to its cast, its social concerns, and its vision of justice without demanding a long commitment.
